As part of his ongoing research into mental health and the physical manifestation of psychological state of mind, Pasquarelli immerses himself into environments that exemplify the relationships between our minds and the objects around us: the homes of hoarders and people with organizational OCD. Through these experiences, Pasquarelli has come to see our physical surroundings as a projection of the mind. By making paintings based on the compelling imagery he has gathered from these environments, Pasquarelli is not just representing people’s possessions; he is painting portraits of their minds.
